Community Services
Community of Hope

Community of Hope is a lay chaplaincy program that integrates personal spirituality and caring with prayerful Christian support.  The Community of Hope program is led by Pastor Kerry and a team of trained, experienced volunteers.  Each week, two lay chaplains tend to the pastoral care needs of our members and friends.

Impact for Life Campus

The social ministry program at Covenant seeks to improve the lives of people in the community by providing support and service.  A primary emphasis is ongoing support provided to Impact for Life Campus, formerly Bear Creek Assistance Ministries (BCAM), of which Covenant is a charter member.

Lutheran World Relief

Lutheran World Relief works with partners in 50 countries to help people grow food, improve health, strengthen communities, end conflict, build livelihoods and recover from disaster. LWR seeks lasting solutions to poverty and injustice and in doing so, compels U.S. Lutherans to put their faith into action.

Family Festivals
Once a quarter, Covenant rolls back our wall and takes up the chairs to turn our sanctuary into a gym. Come and join us once a quarter for an afternoon of fun!

Rebuilding Together

Covenant Lutheran social services ministry seeks to improve the lives of people in the community by providing support and service.  A significant volunteer effort is ongoing support provided to Rebuilding Together Houston.

Recovery Ministries

There was a day when cancer was a shameful disease for people - people felt guilty at the diagnosis, people didn't talk about it publicly, people didn't even share openly and honestly with their own families.  Two unfortunate realities then occurred - the disease raged undetected while misinformation ruled AND victims were not able to receive much needed love, care and support from their friends and family.  Even, perhaps especially, from their church family.

Baby Supplies Day

On the FIRST SUNDAY of each month, Covenant collects baby supplies including baby food, formula and LARGE diapers that are then given to Impact for Life Campus, formerly Bear Creek Assistance Ministries (BCAM), for distribution to families in need.

Ark Almighty

ArkALMIGHTY is a good deeds program that matches individual needs in our congregation with the talents and skills of our members in order to fulfill those needs.
