As anyone who has tried it may know, God brings tremendous blessings to our lives through the gift of marriage, though marriage can also be very difficult. Research and experience tell us that marriages are strengthened when couples share their lives in community with other couples. Shared experience, mutual support, learning together - such are the gifts found when couples make room in their lives to come together in the common goal of strengthening their relationship.
The primary way that marriages are strengthened at Covenant is through mutual worship. There is not a more powerful tool in God's hands than couples worshipping and praying together. As they learn of God's love and forgiveness through a weekly diet of worship, they are better equipped to share the same with one another at home.
Marriage care groups are comprised of four or five couples who make a commitment to gather at least twice a month for fellowship, prayer and Bible study. Groups are organized for those with and without children. If you would like more information about a marriage care group, or if you would like to participate in or lead a group, please contact Pastor Brad by

Lutheran Marriage Encounter is a special weekend away that is available twice a year in the Houston area. While not located at Covenant, many members of the congregation have developed new and renewed appreciation of their marriage. Following the weekend, many couples choose to participate in ongoing care groups. Find out more about Lutheran Marriage Encounter at http://www.ilme.org.
