Dueling Pianos Fundraiser Event - August 2

Join us for one of Covenant's favorite events: Dueling Pianos: Songs from the Top 100! On Saturday, August 2 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm, we will share dinner together and listen to the wonderful music of Covenant's Dr. John Weinel and Messiah Lutheran's Johnny Salvesen, based on songs requested from the congregation (with a donation, as this is a fundraiser to help purchase school supplies needed by the teachers at Schmalz Elementary).

Blood Drive - August 24

The next Blood Drive at Covenant will be Sunday, August 24. The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center Coach will be in our parking lot from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm to take blood donations. You may schedule an appointment HERE or just walk in! All successful donors will receive a 50th Anniversary T-shirt and a voucher for a FREE pint of Blue Bell ice cream. Join us and give the gift of life to someone in need!

ONGOING MINISTRIES:

Partnership with MESA Outreach Food Pantry

Covenant is partnering with MESA Outreach Food Panty to provide non-perishable food to families in our community. MESA Food Pantry serves people from all walks of life by providing basic food needs. Each month they serve over 2000 pounds of food to approximately 100 families in need. We are currently collecting the items most needed at this time. This is where Covenant can help. Please consider purchasing some pasta, canned sauces (no glass bottles, please), peanut butter and jelly each month while you are doing your grocery shopping. The food is collected at the church on an on-going basis, with regular deliveries of our donations to MESA. Thank you for helping others in our community! NOTE: Our challenge for the season of Lent was to collect 4000 servings of breakfast for those in need, and we actually collected 4837 servings or 477 lbs. of food!!

Partnership with Schmalz Elementary

Covenant also partners with Schmalz Elementary in Katy ISD.  We support the teachers and students in various ways and participate in special projects from time to time. Some of our members serve as mentors for students at Schmalz.  If you would like to apply to become a mentor or volunteer in other ways, visit the Katy ISD website
